1 Overview

1.1 The prepaid cards (as defined below) under the “ALDI Single Purpose Prepaid Card Regulations” (hereinafter referred to as “these regulations”) are issued by the card issuer (as defined below). The prepaid cards can be used at the channels (as defined below) specified in these regulations. These regulations are established to standardize the purchase, use, and management of prepaid cards.

1.2 Some terms used in these regulations are defined as follows:

1.2.1 “Issuer” refers to ALDI (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

1.2.2 “Card Purchaser” refers to the legal entity or individual purchasing prepaid cards in accordance with these regulations.

1.2.3 “Cardholder” refers to the actual holder of the prepaid card.

1.2.4 “Prepaid Card” refers to a physical card issued by the issuer with payment functionality that can be used to purchase goods at the channels specified in these regulations. The value of a single prepaid card does not exceed 1,000 RMB (including tax).

1.2.5 Use Channels

1) “ALDI Offline Stores” refers to the offline stores that can accept prepaid cards, which are periodically announced on the issuer’s official website and/or indicated on the prepaid card itself (on the card, voucher, or through electronic notifications).

2) “ALDI WeChat Mini Program” refers to the retail platform operated by the issuer on the WeChat platform, which integrates product display, purchase, marketing, and interaction, and can accept prepaid cards.

1.2.6 “Card Selling Entities” refers to organizations authorized by the issuer to sell prepaid cards, including ALDI offline stores and sales channels authorized by the issuer in writing. The issuer will publish a list of authorized card-selling entities on its official website.

1.3 “ALDI members” refers to users who register as members via ALDI offline stores or the ALDI WeChat Mini Program.

1.4 The issuer, card purchaser, cardholder, and card-selling entity shall comply with and be bound by these regulations.

2 Purchase of Prepaid Cards

2.1 Real-name Purchase Requirement

2.1.1 If a card purchaser buys prepaid cards worth 10,000 RMB or more at one time, they must provide valid identification for real-name registration. This registration information will be retained for more than five years

2.1.2 If the purchaser is a legal entity, valid identification documents include the business license, legal person certificate for public institutions, tax registration certificate, and organization code certificate, etc.

2.1.3 If the purchaser is an individual, valid identification documents include a resident identity card, military ID, armed police ID, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Residents, passport, etc.

2.2 If a legal entity purchases prepaid cards with a total amount of RMB 5,000 or more, or an individual purchases prepaid cards with a total amount of RMB 50,000 or more, or if either a legal entity or individual makes a purchase through a non-face-to-face method, payment by cash is not permitted. Payment must be made via bank transfer, including but not limited to checks, bills of exchange, remittances, or online banking.

2.3 The card purchaser should check the issuer’s credit status and consume rationally before purchasing a prepaid card. The card purchaser/cardholder can check the issuer’s credit rating via the “Shanghai Single Purpose Prepaid Consuming Card Coordinated Supervision and Service Platform” (hereinafter referred to as the “Coordinated Supervision and Service Platform”) and check the prepaid card balance, transaction records, and other information.

2.4 Upon receiving the prepaid card, the card purchaser should check whether the prepaid card is intact. If damage is found, they should contact the issuer promptly for a replacement.

2.5 After purchasing the prepaid card, the card purchaser can request an invoice, and the issuer will issue a general VAT invoice for the corresponding amount in accordance with relevant laws and regulations (no special VAT invoices can be issued). The invoice content will be: Prepaid Card.The cardholder cannot request any VAT invoice again when using the prepaid card for consumption.

2.6At the issuer/card-selling entity’s request, the card purchaser should sign a written card purchase agreement with the issuer/card-selling entity.

3 Use of Prepaid Cards

3.1 The cardholder can use the prepaid card at the channels specified in these regulations.

3.2 The prepaid card is valid for 36 months from the activation date. If the card is not activated within the validity period or if there is a balance on the card after the validity period, rendering the card unusable, the card purchaser/cardholder can reactivate the card for free to continue using the remaining balance. The reactivation period is 36 months, and there is no limit on the number of reactivations.

3.3 The prepaid card is an unregistered, single-purpose, commercial prepaid card. It cannot be reported lost, exchanged for or redeemed as cash, has no overdraft function, and cannot be recharged. Funds stored on the card do not earn interest, dividends, or any other form of income.

3.4 Card Binding

The card purchaser/cardholder can log into the ALDI WeChat Mini Program and enter the prepaid card number and password to bind the prepaid card. Once bound, the physical prepaid card will no longer be usable and cannot be unbound. One prepaid card can only be bound to one ALDI member account, and one ALDI member account can bind up to 50 prepaid cards. The card purchaser/cardholder can check the bound prepaid card number, balance, and transaction details in the ALDI WeChat Mini Program.

3.5 When purchasing goods at ALDI offline stores, the cardholder can use the unbound physical prepaid card balance to offset the amount due for the order or use the prepaid card balance bound to the ALDI WeChat Mini Program. If the balance is insufficient, the cardholder can make up the difference using cash, credit cards, or other payment methods supported by the store.

3.6 When purchasing goods on the ALDI WeChat Mini Program, the cardholder can use the bound prepaid card balance to offset the amount due for the order. If the bound prepaid card balance is insufficient, the cardholder can make up the difference using payment methods supported by the ALDI WeChat Mini Program at the time.

3.7 The cardholder can use the bound prepaid card balance to send prepaid card red packets (referred to as “red packets”) to other ALDI members on the ALDI Mini Program. The cardholder can set the amount for the red packet, which cannot exceed 200 RMB. A payment password must be set when sending the red packet for the first time and must be entered each time a red packet is issued. After the red packet is received, the recipient will receive the equivalent amount and can use it to offset the corresponding amount when shopping at the channels specified in these regulations. In the same order, the prepaid card balance and the red packet can be used together. If a red packet is not received within 24 hours, the amount will be automatically returned to the original prepaid card. Red packets have no expiration date and cannot be used to send red packets to other ALDI members again, nor can they be withdrawn.

3.8 Transaction Error Inquiry and Correction

3.8.1 If the issuer finds a transaction error during reconciliation, the issuer has the right to correct the balance in the prepaid card. If the card purchaser/cardholder has questions about such corrections, they can contact the issuer. The issuer will investigate and inform the results within 30 days of receiving the inquiry.

3.8.2 If the card purchaser/cardholder believes there is an error in the transaction, they should contact the issuer within 30 days after the transaction is completed. If the issuer confirms an error, they will correct the prepaid card balance. The issuer is not responsible for any other liabilities.

3.9 Card Repair and Replacement

3.9.1 The card purchaser/cardholder should properly keep the prepaid card. If the prepaid card is lost, damaged, or used by someone else due to negligence, the card purchaser/cardholder shall bear the loss.

3.9.2 If the prepaid card becomes damaged, demagnetized, or unusable due to other reasons, and the issuer verifies that there is still a balance on the card, the card purchaser/cardholder can go to the designated location of the issuer to return the card or obtain a new one.

4 Liability

4.1 The purchaser/cardholder may only use the prepaid card at the locations specified in these regulations. If the cardholder uses the prepaid card in a manner not in accordance with these regulations or the card purchase agreement, resulting in economic loss, they will bear the responsibility.

4.2 In the following cases, the issuer has the right to suspend the use of the relevant prepaid card:

4.2.1 Using the prepaid card in violation of these regulations or the purchase agreement;

4.2.2 Engaging in transactions with the prepaid card in violation of national laws and regulations;

4.2.3 Engaging in transactions with the prepaid card in violation of the principles of honesty and integrity;

4.2.4 Using a counterfeit, altered, or incomplete prepaid card;

4.2.5 Any other situation that harms the legitimate rights and interests of the issuer, card-selling entities, or other card purchasers/cardholders.

4.3 If the prepaid card cannot be used normally due to the following reasons, the issuer/card-selling entity will not bear responsibility for any losses suffered by the cardholder. However, the issuer/card-selling entity should assist the cardholder in resolving the issue and provide necessary assistance:

4.3.1 The issuer or related usage channel is undergoing maintenance or system downtime for operations or settlement;

4.3.2 A power outage, or unstable, failed, or interrupted data transmission due to failure, instability, upgrades, or maintenances on the system, equipment, or website of power, telecommunication, or banking services.

4.3.3 Natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, or other force majeure events like wars, terrorist attacks, riots, protests, etc., which prevent the issuer or related usage channels from operating normally, or cause operational or settlement system interruptions.

5 Returns

If the cardholder requests a return of goods purchased with the prepaid card, and the return meets the relevant return policies, any amount spent from the prepaid card will be refunded to the prepaid card. The original validity period of the prepaid card will not be changed by the return. If the purchase was made through a combination of payment methods, the refund will be made proportionally according to the original payment channels, including the prepaid card.

6 Card Refund

6.1 When an individual applies for a refund, they must present the original purchase invoice (if no invoice was issued at the time of purchase, the purchase receipt must be presented), the physical card, or a screenshot showing the card bound in the ALDI WeChat Mini Program, along with an original valid personal identification document.

6.2 When a legal entity applies for a refund, they must present the original purchase invoice (if no invoice was issued at the time of purchase, the purchase receipt must be presented), a photocopy of the entity’s valid business license (stamped with the company seal), a letter of authorization for the agent, the agent’s original identification document, and any other materials required by the issuer.

6.3 When a cardholder/card purchaser requests a refund, the balance of the prepaid card will be refunded to the original bank account from which it was purchased, or to another bank account under the name of the cardholder/card purchaser.

6.4 If the cardholder/card purchaser requests a refund for a prepaid card on which discounts or promotions were applied during the purchase, the refund will be based on the actual amount paid at the time of purchase, or the amount after the discount is subtracted from the full value of the prepaid card.

7 Other

7.1 These regulations are publicly displayed at ALDI offline stores, ALDI WeChat Mini Program, and other official channels confirmed by the issuer.

7.2 Matters related to the purchase, use, inquiry, complaints, and suggestions of prepaid cards can be addressed by contacting the ALDI WeChat Mini Program online customer service or calling 400-820-1973.

7.3 The issuer/card-selling entity will take effective measures to protect the information of the card purchaser/cardholder, ensure information security, and prevent information leakage and abuse in accordance with the “Cybersecurity Law,” “Personal Information Protection Law,” and other relevant laws and regulations. Without the card purchaser/cardholder’s consent, their personal information will not be used for purposes unrelated to the prepaid card business, except as required by law.

7.4 In accordance with the “Regulations on the Management of Single Purpose Prepaid Cards in Shanghai” and other relevant regulations, the issuer will ensure fund security through fund custody or performance guarantee insurance. The current custodian bank for the issuer is Bank of China.

7.5 Holding or using a prepaid card does not authorize the user to use the “奥乐齐”, “ALDI” or other trademarks, logos, or any related intellectual property owned by the issuer or its affiliates.

7.6 If there is a need to amend these regulations, the issuer will announce it 30 days in advance on the ALDI WeChat Mini Program. If the new regulations include newly added fees, increased charges, or reduced preferential terms, the original regulations will continue to apply to existing purchasers/cardholders for 180 days from the effective date of the new regulations. If the purchaser/cardholder requests a refund due to changes in the regulations, the relevant refund provisions of these regulations shall apply.

7.7 Any matters not covered in these regulations will be executed according to national laws, regulations, rules, and industry practices. If the issuer and card purchaser have other agreements, they will follow those agreements. Such agreements should be signed in the form of a written card purchase agreement.

7.8 These regulations are formulated, modified, and interpreted by the issuer. Any disputes arising from these regulations shall be resolved through litigation at the people’s court in the defendant’s location.
